There were/are two apartments upstairs…O’Briens’ did move often, but being a kid, didn’t weigh the reasons. Bill was older, so not much time with him; remember tho, we were playing darts on Cornelia, and while Tim was pulling darts out of board, Bill hurled another, sticking it in back of Tim’s head…..Not sure of Bill’s eventual demise, but heard murmurs of reason.

Regarding Hoffing’s, my step-mother not only worked there, she and her two daughters lived downstairs from the O’Briens’ on Cornelia…aaaaaaannd my Grandmother lived in apartment upstairs of Hoffing’s(for whatever all this info was worth)….So choir, let’s sing: “IT’S A SMALL WORLD….”

Colleen also lived in an apartment upstairs from Hoffings. Not sure if that was with her mom or with Larry when they got married. And the o’Briens also lived upstairs in the Lombardos’ building for awhile, Colleen said the apt wasn’t even completed but they were desperate for a place to live. Apparently the high activity level of Billy and Tim led to their previous landlord’s invitation to leave. I think those O’Briens got around.

More singing and drinking with my Audubon friends last night. I brought Carlo’s book! Colleen O’Brien loved the story about Hoffings, she and her mom both worked there for years. Thanks for the memories!

Susie and I will be there to greet everyone. And I think there have to be some actual singing done at choir practice!
