Back home now. Covered about 750 miles (as the fish swims). Not much of a tan but maybe that’s a good thing. Annapolis is a must see. Great seafood. The town square is a circle of water about 100 feet across and is connected directly to the Chesapeake. People sit with their feet hanging in the water. If a storm tide raises the water level 2 feet everything is under water, including much of the downtown.. I’m hoping pictures to follow (Richard?)

This has nothing to do with Bill. My daughter Mia asked if Seeley Street knows about her graduation. So I’m letting you all know that my youngest child graduated with her Masters Degree in Social Work from UIC today! Her godmother Ludy came to the ceremony and Chris took a little time from the VA to join us for lunch!

    Is that a real drink?

      Ask a bartender 🙂

It is called a Dark and Stormy…

    • Bill Bartz Bill Bartz says:

A “Dark and Stormy” is a drink first concocted at the British Officers Club on the island of Bermuda. I had this concoction at this club about 20 years ago after delivering a 62 foot sailboat to the island. It’s made from Black Seal Rum,Goslings Ginger Beer and a dash of “bitters”. They’re great! It reminds me of the Hubble cocktail, comes in a crystal glass, is very expensive and after just one drink your vision gets very blurry.

They are probably around Gwynn on the Chesapeake Bay.. headed toward probably Westland on the Rappahannock River.. they are on a beam reach 14kt winds ..

Anyone know where Bill is now?

    • avatar Richard says:

Last night they tried to anchor in Black Creek but the anchorage was a no go.. They should be at the north end of North Landing River or near the Elizabeth River..

Bill is currently docked in Annapolis and looking forward to his Pusser’s Rum and ginger beer.. He will be winging his way home tomorrow..
